District II - Larry Engler

Mr. Engler was elected to the
School Board in September of 2007. He was born and raised
in Keokuk, Iowa and moved into the Central Lee School District
in 1986. Mr. Engler received his Bachelor of Arts degree in
Secondary Education from William Penn College. From 1983
to 1995, Mr. Engler taught Industrial Technology in both the
High School and Middle School at Central Lee. He, also,
coached football and basketball during those twelve years.
Larry is currently employed at Van Meter Industrial, Inc. in
Keokuk as an Account Manager and has been there for the past
twelve years. He enjoys woodworking, carpentry, and
watching the Iowa Hawkeye's football and basketball teams.
Mr. Engler's wife is a graduate
of Central Lee. Together, they have two daughters.
Their oldest daughter is a 2007 Central Lee graduate while their
second daughter currently attends Central Lee.
Larry has always been proud of
the Central Lee School District. He believes the school
district is recognized for its excellence in education.
Mr. Engler is looking forward to working with the
administration, teaching staff, support staff, and students to
fulfill their educational objectives.
